Trevor turned 1 month old on Sunday! We were driving back from Notre Dame on Sunday, so I didn't get a chance to take his 1 month old photo in his chair, so I took it a day late on Monday.
Here is a photo including the whole chair to show proportions. He is still so little, despite eating like a champ, already putting on quite a bit of chub, and outgrowing most of the "newborn" size clothing. He is now in mostly size 3 month clothing, though some of the newborn sizes still fit and some of the 3-6 month clothes fit (depends on the manufacturer).
Trevor is eating well, sleeping pretty well, and still adored by us all. He is the recipient of kisses from his big brother and sister about every 2 minutes. He has more awake and alert time each day, unfortunately, some of that awake time comes around 3-5am for about an hour. Overall, he is starting to sleep better and better at night and gives us up to 5 hours sleep at a time. Just this week, we've been able to get him to sleep in his crib a bit. He has thus far been pretty exclusively sleeping in a pack and play in our room. He last weighed in around 11.3 pounds (a week or so ago when I popped in to work to pick something up, I put him on the scale - granted, this was fully clothed, so maybe a little high). I'm sure he's gained more weight since then. I'll have to pop him on the scale when we go in for flu shots for the big kids tomorrow. Trevor still loves to lay on his tummy on my chest. He is really strong and can hold his head up pretty well already (as you could probably see from his newborn photos from when he was 1 week old). He doesn't seem to like his car seat much, but he traveled very well last weekend on our drive to ND. Steve says he has a love hate relationship with his pacifier. He usually likes it, but he doesn't need to have it all the time. He will go to sleep without it and when he's fussing, it only sometimes helps him calm down. He is also not sure what to think of bathing. He is calm and happy for baths sometimes and other times he screams the whole time. He doesn't mind diaper changes unless he is hungry and is mad that his feeding is being delayed to change his diaper.OK, more pictures...some pretty similar ones, but I clicked a bunch and couldn't choose between some of them. My precious cutie!
He is growing so fast already. You forget how quickly babies change until you are in the moment and watching them change right before your eyes. We plan for Trevor to be our last baby, so as we pass each stage, it is a bit bittersweet to consider that it is the last time we have a baby at that stage. We enjoy seeing our babies change and grow and learn. Austin and Sarah and Trevor delight us every day and we are so blessed to be their Mommy and Daddy!
