Posing by the door for the first day of school photo. All smiles!
Saying "hi" to baby Trevor before heading to the bus stop.
Heading to the bus with our across the street neighbor Riley.
The group at the bus stop.
Hopping on the bus with the big kids.
And waving at us from the window...
Off to school he goes...
While Austin was at school, we had Trevor's 1-2 week old well baby exam at my peds clinic. He weighed in today at 9 lbs 13 oz! He is obviously a good eater! He does have some thrush, so we had to get him some medication (that he hates, but tolerates pretty well anyway). After lunch and story time, Sarah had her nap and before we knew it, it was time to get Austin off the bus this afternoon. He came bounding off the bus and right away showed us an owwie he got when he fell during playtime outside. He quickly moved on to telling us what a fun day he had.
My big boy!
All in all, a successful first day of school! He was tired out when he got home and a bit cranky, but Nanny came over and took us out for frozen yogurt as a special first day of school treat. He was definitely ready for bed when bedtime rolled around this evening, though. School is tough work!Other random photos from this past weekend...
Due to my nuclear medicine scan (a HIDA scan, more specifically) on Friday, I had to stay away from Trevor for 24 hours and couldn't feed him. On Saturday, this was the last of his bottle feeds before I got to breastfeed him again. Sarah wanted in on the bottle feeding action and did a good job "helping" by holding the bottle for him briefly.
Then on Saturday afternoon, I got to snuggle again!
We watched the ND vs Navy game (in Dublin, Ireland this year!) on DVR later in the afternoon and the kids had a blast. Sarah was SO into it this year! She got really excited and would declare things about her team (the "white team" since they were wearing white jerseys this time). She would intently study the screen and shout and cheer when something happened. She chattered on, describing what was going on in the game in her own little way. It was really quite adorable! I took some video clips of her on my iPhone, but haven't gotten a chance to upload them yet. She insisted she wanted to wear a jersey like Austin and I was able to dig Austin's old 3T jersey out of some boxes downstairs for her to wear. She was very excited about being in a jersey, though she was a little perturbed that she couldn't find the #3 on the players' jerseys.
Studying the play intently.
GO IRISH! BEAT BOILERS! (or as the trombones like to say, "BEAT PURDUUUUUUUUUUUE!"
