Sarah and Trevor's Rec Soccer Seasons!

Sarah and Trevor played recreational soccer this season and had lots of fun!

Sarah's team this year is all girls, but they are still young enough that they play on the small fields with the little goals and no goalie.  Sarah is taller than a lot of girls her age and can run fast with those long legs.  She often would get the ball and take off down the field with it to easily score a goal.
 Great job Sarah!
Sarah had to miss some of her practices and games for her dance competition and recitals, but was able to be at most of them.  I will say that I enjoy not having to spend an hour doing hair and makeup before soccer games like we did for dance competitions!  That being said, next year soccer will probably get pushed out by dance. She was able to do both this year, but next year will be busier with dance, so soccer probably won't fit into her schedule.  We'll see, I guess. Dance auditions are next week!

Trevor played soccer for the first time this year!  He is only 4 years old, so he was in the preschool age division.  They combined preschool and Kindergarten age groups, so he was definitely one of the youngest, smallest, and most inexperienced on his team (and many of the teams he played).  He did a good job running after the ball and had some good shots and even a couple goals!  I think he had fun, but he would sometimes wear out quickly and ask for a water break before it was his time to come out of the game.  You would think chasing his brother and sister around would build some endurance.  hehehe!
(They didn't have enough of the white rec jerseys at the beginning of the season, so his team had red jerseys for most of the season - and hence most of the photos.  He was excited because they looked more like the traveling team jerseys his big brother has.)
Going in for the goal!
So excited he scored a goal!
Something was hilarious. I'm not sure what.

Between Sarah's and Trevor's rec games one day, they had a professional soccer juggler show the kids some tricks.  They had lots of fun trying out some balancing tricks.

It was another fun year of soccer.  Not to be left out - I'll post LOTS of photos of Austin on his traveling team soon.  One of the moms from his team took amazing photos with her fancy camera and is posting them on a Shutterfly site for us.  When I get the rest of the photos from her, I'll be sure to post some great ones.
