Happy 4th of July!

We started out the 4th of July weekend with the kids and Steve going on the boat with Nanny and Grandpa and Auntie Michelle, Uncle Brian, and Theo.  Mommy had to work, but the kids had fun!
Fun time tubing!
The kids tell me Trevor kept signaling Grandpa to go faster!

We enjoyed celebrating the 4th of July on Tuesday at Nanny and Grandpa's house with some slip and slide fun in the yard and a yummy dinner.   Grandpa found this shark slip and slide!  Trevor is really into sharks right now, so he found this particularly exciting!
Sarah would get a good running start, but then would stall out a little before sliding or would drag her feet along the side, stopping her progress.
Austin had the most downhill momentum given his bigger size - there were times when he flew off the end and almost all the way into the huge evergreen trees at the bottom of the hill.
Trevor loved jumping through the shark's mouth!
Afterward, we enjoyed some time in the basement playroom and made an igloo fort.
After dinner, we tried out some sparklers.
Theo learned the hard way that it is a bad idea to touch the hot sparkler right after the flame goes out, but he still had fun doing one more sparkler before heading home.

Some other recent fun...
We tried out the new theater in Shakopee to go see Cars 3.  We enjoyed the movie and the comfy recliner seats.

Austin took a beginner guitar class for a week and they had a mini recital at the end.  Austin and 2 of his classmates played a silly song about gummy bears.
Sarah and I finished a fun puzzle and she chose a 2000 piece puzzle to work on next.
This is just normal attire at home for Trevor this week.

The past week at work has been very stressful and very emotional due to multiple major medical diagnoses in our staff and patients, as well as difficulty with insurance coverage for a large chunk of our patients due to the Children's Minnesota and Blue Cross Blue Shield negotiations not going through.  Please say a prayer for everything to work out - for health and healing for my colleagues and patients and for resolution to the negotiations so we can continue to care for all our patients.
