Sarah is about 1 week older than George. They had lots of fun playing with toys...well, mostly chewing on toys.
What a cutie!
The kids settled in for a bit to watch a movie. Patrick unfortunately wasn't feeling very well, so he laid low for a bit before getting back in the action. Here is Austin, excited to watch Toy Story.
Then out to the beach. Sarah already outgrew her cute little swimming suit, but I found a 12 month size suit on clearance at Target. Gotta love the chubby thighs...Lots of fun in the water...
Next up...a little boat ride before dinner.
They had a perfect little life jacket just the right size for Sarah.
Austin had quite the wind blown look by the end of the boat ride. He had a blast!
Patrick was feeling a bit better by then and was able to join in on the fun.
After a yummy dinner of homemade pizzas, we got the kids to bed and got to relax and hang out by the campfire. Then Sunday morning we got the kids all packed up and headed home.
We actually got home at a decent time and had the afternoon to enjoy the beautiful weather. We walked down to the park in our neighborhood and Austin and Sarah had a great time.
Austin loved pushing Sarah on the swing. She loved it too!
My little climber.
It was a wonderful whirlwind of a weekend. Unfortunately, Sunday night did not go so well. Sarah got really congested and woke up screaming again and again through much of the night. I kept having to suck out her nose with the bulb syringe and then she'd be happy and go back to sleep. She also has been peeing through her diapers during naps and overnight...we're having trouble finding diapers she doesn't obliterate. Austin had an even tougher night. He had a bad case of croup and was having a terrible barky cough, stridor, and trouble breathing overnight. He kept waking up screaming, "I need help! I don't like it! Mommy, help me!" My poor baby! He was fine as soon as we were able to calm him down, but he kept waking up about every 20-30 minutes in distress. He is doing much better today, so we're hoping for a better night tonight (though croup can be worse the second night).
That's all for now. Another week has begun. We are getting closer to when I have to go take my boards in October, so I'll be trying to put in more study time in the upcoming month or so, so I may not post very often. I will try to put up the photos from Sarah's 6 month photo shoot and Michelle's wedding when I get them.
