After starting work on Monday, I actually took Friday off because it was Michelle and Brian's wedding! The day was beautiful, the bride was gorgeous, the groom was beaming, the celebration was joyous, the music was wonderful, and the ring bearer was incredibly cute in his tuxedo! More about the wedding when the pictures are available for posting. The photographer was the same as our wedding and Kevin and Keng's wedding. We love her and she takes such amazing photos! When there was a break from taking the formal photos, she even took some of our Cronk family of 4. I can't wait to see them. I took a few pictures when we were getting ready...

After we arrived home from the spa, Michelle discovered that this year's Notre Dame football season tickets for the family had arrived...perfect timing! She was very excited!
Then it was off to the church. We got dressed and got going on photos of the bridal party. The kids arrived around 3pm for their pictures. Austin was the ring bearer and Brian's niece Dakota was the flower girl. Austin was so adorable in his tuxedo and Sarah wore a beautiful dress that Nanny picked out at a baby boutique in Florida. The kids were actually surprisingly well behaved. I thought it would be a disaster since Austin was a little terror at the rehearsal. He actually body slammed the priest! He did much better on the day of the wedding (partly, I'm sure, because he actually got a nap on the day of the wedding and missed it the day before). It did take bribery with gummy bears to get Austin in his tuxedo and posing for pictures, but he did pretty well after that. He actually fell down on the stairs about 20 minutes before the ceremony and bit into his top lip. His mouth got all bloody, but we got him cleaned up and calmed down and managed to keep his white tuxedo shirt clean too!
He did great walking down the aisle. He held the flower girl's hand and started off looking down at his feet, but soon looked up and called out "Hi mom!" since I was up front with the bridal party already. He sat with Nanny for the ceremony and did pretty well staying quiet and calm for the ceremony. Sarah slept through half of it and was quiet and well behaved with Daddy for the rest. It wasn't until the reception that the kids melted. Sarah was just getting very tired and overstimulated. She got a lot of attention from so many of the wedding guests and it quickly became past her bedtime. Austin was terribly terribly constipated and was running around screaming about every 20 minutes when the urge to go hit him and he fought to keep it in. He actually ate his dinner OK, but refused cake, and shortly thereafter, he threw up all over and was sobbing. It was definitely TIME TO GO HOME! So we packed up the kids and got them home to bed. They both fell asleep in the car and this is what they looked like by the time we got home...
More photos to come. Also, we had Sarah's 6 month photos taken 2 weeks ago and they turned out great! We got some shots of Austin and some of all 4 of us too. I'll post some when the CD comes in the mail.
Sarah also had her 6 month well baby check this week at my new practice. She met Dr. Judy and was a little angel for her checkup. She is growing well (my big girl!). She is 20 lbs 11 oz (98th percentile) and 27.5 inches tall (93rd percentile). Her head circumference is also big 17.5 inches (90th percentile). She is advanced for her age on her developmental milestones. She is more like a 7 or 8 month old. She has been sitting on her own really well for weeks now. She just started pulling herself up to stand the other day, which is well beyond a 6 month old. I bet she'll be crawling soon! She also says "mama" and "dada" already. She has one tooth on the bottom and is getting her 2nd one there too. She is eating various baby foods now and chewing on everything she can find. It is definitely more painful when she uses my hand as a teether now that she has a sharp little tooth in there.
She was so smiley and sweet meeting the people at "Mommy's new work" as Austin refers to it. She let Dr. Judy examine her without any fuss at all and was proud to show off her standing skills. She cried for a few seconds after her shots and then was perfectly delightful and calm.
Some cutie photos of Sarah the evening after he checkup...sporting her band aids on each leg.
Look how I stand up!
Austin has been popping up with funny comments lately. He recently learned the traffic lights and what they mean. "Red means stop. Green means go." However, he heard "Green means go" as "green beans". So now whenever we are at at traffic light he declares "green beans, Mommy!" So cute! He also has caught on to some not so cute phrases. The other night, we sat down to dinner and Austin declared "Holy crap!" Apparently, he had come down from his nap and Daddy had "Everybody Loves Raymond" on the TV. The grandpa on that show frequently says this choice phrase and, of course, Austin picked up on it pretty quickly. I was so taken off guard when he said it that I couldn't help but laugh.
Austin has been loving his new bathtub!
He now rinses off under the shower and thinks it is pretty cool!
Big boy brushing his teeth getting ready for bed.
Sarah has been enjoying getting to sit up in her ducky tub. The only problem is that she still tries to bend over and eat her toes (which are under the water), so unless I sit her back up really quickly, she takes a gulp of her bath water. She loves to splash and chew on the tub toys!
OK...that's it for now. Think we've been busy enough? More to come. Busy weekend on the way, then we're getting close to Austin starting preschool! I'll post pictures from the wedding and Sarah's 6 month photo shoot when I get them.
