Christmas Tree!

On Saturday, we got the Christmas tree put up. 'Tis the season!

Here is Austin emerging sleepily from his nap and seeing the tree in the living room.
Then he got to "help" Mommy with the lights.Putting the lights on the tree...Concentrating really hard on getting an ornament hung on a branch...
The ornament that is a little replica of his Little People school bus got hung up and taken down multiple times before he left it on the tree.
Austin's favorite ornament...
We got this one last year and he absolutely adored it. He still loves watching it and pushing the button to make it play music. It has a little train that goes around the base and 2 horse drawn sleighs that go around the top. When you push the button, it makes train noises and plays Christmas music.
Watching it go around and around with mommy.Still mesmerized.
Excitedly running around the house...
Getting a lift from Daddy...Can't quite reach high enough to get the angel on the top...Almost there...
After a lift from Mommy, he eventually got the angel all the way onto the top.
Our beautiful tree all decorated...
Christmas is coming fast! I hope you are all having a wonderful holiday season amidst the hustle and bustle of it all. We are looking forward to heading up to Nanny and Grandpa's house next weekend to make our traditional family Christmas sugar cookies with butter cream frosting...mmmmmmmmmmmmm, they are quite possibly my favorite part of the season.

Cronk Daddy? How can a non pregnant Steve Cronk not be able lift his son to top the tree? Even with a step stool? And an 8 month pregnant Mama Cronk was able to do it? Are you kidding me? Steve-o, we needs to talk! Merry Christmas to all!

Vnak...it's all about the technique. Steve is certainly strong enough to get him up there, but wasn't getting him close enough to the tree to reach the top branch. I just got closer to the tree and lifted him forward. Austin had a learning curve too...took him a little while to figure out how to the get the angel to open on the bottom and go over the branch. : ) Austin is very proud of his accomplishment now, though and points it out to us daily.
Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas!
