On Saturdays and Wednesdays, Peter does story time for the kids at ABC Toy Zone. Austin LOVES to go and particularly enjoys when Peter sings songs like Wheels on the Bus and especially Baby Beluga! He always saves Baby Beluga for the last song/story of the story time and then hands out balloons to all the kids. At the end of the Baby Beluga song, he gets up to get the bunch of balloons off the ceiling behind him, then tells the kids to "stay where you are and I'll bring the balloons to you." Austin sits very nicely waiting for his balloon and Peter deftly works his way through the crowd of kids to get each child their balloon of choice and secure it on their wrists.
This Saturday, after returning from story time, Austin spent an hour imitating Mr. Peter. He would put the balloon behind him, sit down and sing some of the Baby Beluga song (while holding his Runaway Bunny book because it was a board book like Peter's Baby Beluga book), then at the conclusion of the song would say, "OK, now it's time for balloons. So, I'll bring the balloon to you." He would bring me his balloon, then start all over again, by retrieving his balloon from me, say "good morning," put the balloon on the couch behind him, and start over again. He did this for about an hour, and I got a few minutes on video.

Our neighbor Isabella had her 4th birthday party on Saturday afternoon. They rented a bouncy house and had lots of fun kid activities. Austin had a great time. Since they had the bouncy house all weekend, Austin got to go over to enjoy the bouncy house again today. Nanny and Grandpa were here to help Steve finish stain the deck, so they played with Austin in the bouncy house too.
