Busy, busy, busy...

We have all been keeping busy since Austin's birthday. He has been having a blast playing with his new toys. (Thanks to everybody for the great gifts!)

Here he is spinning on his new Spiderman Sit and Spin.

And playing with his Little People airport.
Last Wednesday, Steve headed to Knoxville for the weekend to attend his friend Brandon's wedding. Here is Steve with his buds Joseph (on the left) and the groom, Brandon (middle).

Meanwhile, Nanny came down to Rochester on Wednesday to take care of Austin while I finished work for the day, then we headed up to Nanny's house. On Thursday, Austin got to hang out with Nanny while I visited 2 pediatric clinics in the Twin Cities (that may have a job for me when I graduate residency)! I had another visit on Friday afternoon at another clinic location, then got to visit Ann and baby John.

Then I hurried back to take Austin to get his hair cut. We take him to the Kids Hair place in Eden Prairie because he did so horribly with getting his hair cut here at Great Clips. Every time at Kids Hair has been better and better and this time was great! He fussed a little bit when I started to put him in the barber chair, but then he settled right in and sat calmly while he got a great haircut. What a good boy! The stylist put some gel in his hair at the end and spiked it up like Uncle Kevin's hair. Isn't it adorable?!?

While we were there, we went to the grocery store by Nanny's house and they had little kid sized shopping carts which Austin absolutely LOVED! He pushed the cart around the store and helped shop for the groceries. He would occasionally put his head down and RUN with the cart, so we had to be careful to catch him and make sure he didn't ruin the store or run into other shoppers. Here he is putting the milk in the cart and pushing it around the store...
He loves his shopping cart that Michelle gave him soooo much that Nanny and Grandpa bought him one at Toys R Us while we were there so that he would have one to play with at their house. Here he is helping Nanny put it together.

Some other fun pictures...
Playing with trucks.

Taking pictures with his pretend camera.

We stayed through Saturday to watch the game and hang out with family. We got to see Michelle and Brian for dinner both Friday and Saturday and Austin had lots of fun playing with Brian and saying, "Hey dude!"
Here they are having fun with the box of blocks...
When Brian came over on Saturday, he had an ND hat on, but Austin demanded he take it off. Austin put it on himself and was a cute little ND boy wearing the hat on backwards...
Austin and I came home on Saturday night and got to have Mommy and Austin time on Sunday and Monday. Daddy got home on Monday afternoon. I headed back to work on Tuesday and have kept busy the rest of the week. We're looking forward to have a weekend together at home. Then next week, Austin has his 2 year old well child exam on Tuesday (rescheduled because our doctor was out sick when his last appointment was scheduled), then Thanksgiving is already next Thursday. We'll enjoy some time with family on Thursday and Friday before heading back to Rochester for me to be on call in the pediatric ICU on Saturday.
