Nanny,
Grandpa, and Auntie Michelle visited last weekend and Austin and Grandpa got
ready for football season...
Grandpa showed Austin how to do the football stance and then run across the backyard for a touchdown...
Auntie Michelle and Austin had
fun in the kiddie pool...
My
little baby is growing into an active, talkative, hilarious little toddler. His
vocabulary has exploded and it seems like he learns a few new words every day.
He's even picking up words on his own that we haven't tried to teach him (time
to really watch what we say). He is climbing on everything he can get away
with. He is trying to grow up and be a big boy...but mommy's not quite ready
for him to be too grown up yet.
Here he is trying a big boy
glass...
And riding his tricycle...
His
2T clothes and jammies are even starting to get small on him...he hasn't even
turned 2 yet!
Here he is in his spiderman jammies with his cute little tummy hanging out....
I guess I shouldn't be too
surprised that he is growing so fast - he has always been on the top of the
growth charts. He eats pretty well, too. He loved the spaghetti I made
tonight...
He loved it so much that he
picked up the bowl and buried his face in it, trying to get the last bit out...
I probably shouldn't encourage
this, but he was so cute, I couldn't help but laugh and take some pictures!
Anyway,
the summer is flying by. Before we know it, fall will be upon us and football
season will be here. Austin has his ND jersey ready for game day and now he
knows how to line up for the snap and run for the touchdown! I hope you all are
having a wonderful summer. Please continue to pray for Luke. He did well with
his first cycle of chemo and is home now! Yay!

I
love it when I cook something, and Luke gobbles it up- it feels like I am a
"good mommy" that day:) Thanks for all the support and prayers:)
