Austin is still loving his bubble baths. Nanny visited
on Tuesday and gave Austin his bath. She discovered that Austin would laugh
hysterically when she put a pile of bubbles on her hand and blew them at him.
See a video of the giggles:
More fun with nanny...
We also
took a trip to the big park over by Soldier's Field this past week. When we
were over by Soldier's Field for the pediatric department picnic a few weeks
ago, we discovered that there are multiple parks there, and one is a toddler
friendly park with a big playground and two big sandboxes. Austin spent about
an hour in the sandbox and had as much fun pouring sand from one cup or bucket
to another as he usually does with pouring water in his bath and his kiddie
pool. He also played on the playground and loved running across the bouncy
bridge. Here are a couple pictures of the afternoon fun.
Austin sleeping soundly with his
blankie. Look how big he is getting!
On a
more serious note...please pray for our friends:
Luke Anderson, son of Ben and Megs Anderson, big brother to Drew, and Austin's "future roomie" was just diagnosed with Wilm's tumor (a kidney tumor). He is doing OK right now, but is facing a long road ahead with chemotherapy treatments, etc. Please pray for the Anderson family. Their blog, "Andersonmania" is linked on the right side of this blog.
Also, please keep Ann and Phil in your thoughts and prayers. They are just over 32 weeks pregnant and Ann has been put on bedrest because of early contractions. At 32 weeks, baby would likely be just fine, but we'd like him or her to stay put inside mommy for couple more months. Their blog, "Baby Singewald" is also linked to the right.
