Trevor turned 7 years old on Friday, August 23rd!
Trevor:
- is funny, active, goofy, rambunctious, smart, and sassy.
- likes to roughhouse with his brother, but frequently ends up crying. It doesn't seem to stop him from doing it again a few minutes later.
- gives great hugs!
- loves back rubs and tummy rubs and having Dadddy (or Mommy sometimes) lay next to him and sing him a song when he goes to bed (the long version of "Itsy Bitsy Spider" and "Wheels on the Bus" are still the favorites).
- has an army of stuffed animal friends keeping him company at the head of his bed.
- likes to read and be read to. He is a good reader, but tries to keep it a secret.
- is interested in sharks, ships, shipwrecks, and the Titanic particularly right now.
- is excited for first grade!
- played soccer over the summer and is having fun with flag football this summer/fall.
- is taking a boys hip hop class again this year at the dance studio Sarah dances at.
- will be starting piano lessons this fall.
- rides his bike without training wheels.
- likes to draw with sidewalk chalk on the driveway.
- is very creative! If there is an item he wants to play with in his pretend play, he will draw it on a piece of notebook paper, cut it out, and put it in his game. He comes up with some really fun and creative play!
- is growing and growing. He is 50.25 inches tall (85th percentile), weighs 56.8 pounds (75th percentile), which gives him a BMI of 15.8 (57th percentile).
Trevor is really in to the Titanic right now, so he requested a Titanic birthday party. We celebrated his birthday with family on Saturday. We got him a replica of the Titanic and sunk it in the cake!
We also made chocolate mold Titanic ships and icebergs for cupcakes.
Theo made Trevor a card with a drawing of a ship in it
Everyone is so generous and he has been enjoying his birthday gifts immensely, particularly reading the books he received and building LEGOs (which is new for him)! He hadn't ever gotten into LEGOs until he started with a set of LEGOs Auntie Trish got him. Now he is using his birthday gift cars/cash to buy more LEGOs and has picked out the ones he'd like for Christmas!
On his actual birthday day, he opened his gifts from Mom and Dad and some we brought home from Gramma and PopPop.
He loves this Titanic paperweight with the ship and the iceberg floating around inside.
And the RMS Gigantic (the closes we could get to the Titanic but that actually comes apart).
A knight card from Gramma and PopPop after going to Medieval Times while visiting earlier that week!
At the end of his birthday party day, Trevor was very excited that the Titanic goes in the bath tub and actually runs (the propeller is battery powered and it zooms across the tub)!
