Summer Dance

Sarah had summer dance intensives, took private lessons with a dance teacher at a gymnastics gym, and had 2 weeks of auditions, followed by Production Week!

 Audition days!
Sarah and I got to see some great dancing at the Ordway for "42nd Street"!

Then on to Production Week. They learn their whole production dance in a week, have fun themed dress up days, and finish the week by showing their dances to the parents and announcing our destination for nationals next summer.

Monday was team color day. The JDA team (Junior Dream Angels) was yellow.
The rainbow of junior production teams.
Tuesday was wild west theme day.
Wednesday was movie theme day. JDA's movie was Lion King. Sarah was Pumbaa (and her knees are blocking her Hakuna Matata shirt in this photo).
Thursday was dress like the theme of the production day.  The theme this year is summer camp, so our girls dressed in tie dye shirts and hats, and got marshmallow roasting sticks from the little sisters' team.

The whole Performing Company from petites up to seniors.
