Summer is almost over!

Summer has been busy and we are suddenly realizing that it is almost over!  1 more week off before school begins.  Here's a bit of what we've been up to lately.

Silly soapy beard
Playing dress up
 Yummy treats
Doing puzzles

 Dancing, dancing, and more dancing.
Sarah had 3 weeks of ballet intensives and step-it-up classes this summer, as well as 2 weeks of auditions, and a week of production workshop.  She made the next team up from last year and came home one day to find this sign in the yard. Congrats to our little dancer!  On to nationals this year!
One day for dance, I put Sarah's hair up when it was still wet and tangly from swimming. This was the result when I went to put her hair over her bun form when it was still wet from the pool and the detangler spray.
Production week:
(I cropped these photos, but for some reason, they won't go in the post cropped. Go figure!)
Superhero day
Team theme day - Hawaiian Luau

National Night Out - the Shakopee Fire Department stopped by with a big fire truck and lots of fun!
My Trevor with Trevor the firefighter (and teacher from their school).

A visit to the Chesters:
Theo showing off his golfing skills
 Meeting new cousin Dean

Austin started band and is learning to play the alto saxophone.  He had 2 weeks of lessons (4 lessons each week for half hour each), then they did a little mini-concert to show how much they learned.
He did an excellent job, but here was Trevor's reaction to the music.

Kevin and Owen came to visit for a week in August and the kids had a blast going to Crayola Experience, Rainforest Cafe, swimming at the Chaska Community Center, and playing at the "Chutes and Ladders" playground with them.  I was working that week, so I missed all but the playground and that's all I have photos of.
At the end of Kevin and Owen's visit, we had family photos taken.  I'll post those when we get them from Tracie. She did a fantastic job (as usual).

After that, Sarah had her production week for dance which ended with a showcase for the parents on Friday, followed by dinner out to celebrate Daddy's birthday, then off to Texas the next morning.  More on that in the next post.
