Fall Fun - Sever's Corn Maze

After Austin's away soccer game in Lakeville, we headed home and got ready for some more fun!  We spent the rest of the day at Sever's Corn Maze and Fall Fesitval.  We had lots of fun and came home with very dirty and tired children!
Daddy got his once a year dose of cheese curds and the kids shared some of his cheese curds and shared some mini donuts with me. Yummy!
Then we headed to the corn maze!  Austin and Sarah were in charge of navigation (with some guidance from Mommy when they were headed the wrong direction).
Austin and Sarah took turns reading the signs to us.  The theme for the maze this year was firefighters, so each of the signs had fun facts about firefighters.  Sarah amazed us again by reading WAY above her grade level!
Trevor was excited the he found a "T for Trevor"!
There were some really cool paths in the corn maze like this one that had the leaves reaching into the path and the lighting just perfect for a photo.  Unfortunately, the kids didn't want to cooperate and I never got one of all the kids looking at me!
Check out the giant hay firefighter!
Austin is right in front of the fire hose (for size comparison).
Checking out the vintage fire truck!
They had new zip lines this year and all 3 kids tried them out.
Then we headed to the extreme corn pit.  It has lots of fun things to play on/with in the corn pit - like rope swings, monkey bars, jungle gyms, etc.
Austin and Sarah buried Trevor in the corn (and he went along with it until Sarah got corn on his face).
 Corn angels!
Austin got buried as well, then decided he was pretty comfy there.
Brothers tackling each other - that's nothing new around here.
We didn't go into the "exotic petting zoo" because the kids were starting to wear out for the day, but we did see the kangaroos jumping around by looking through the outside fence (last year when we were there, they were all sleeping).
 On to the Super Slide!
The giant jumping pillows were a big hit as well.
I went on the jumper with Trevor.  He would sit down and when I would walk by him or jump by him to make him pop up a bit, he would fall over and giggle!
Lastly, we let the kids do the pumpkin cannons.
We hit meltdown mode shortly thereafter and decided to call it a day.  We were all tired from all the fun activites of the day and the kids were remarkably dusty from the corn pit.  We went home and popped the kids in the tub, made some quick easy dinner, then got everybody to bed for a good night's rest.

Next weekend...more soccer and then a day at Valleyfair on Sunday!
