Our fall has been packed with activities! We have been very busy with Austin's soccer and football practices and games and we are headed off on some trips for family events for much of October, so we have been trying to squeeze in some fun fall activities when we can. On Sunday the 13th, after Austin's afternoon soccer game, we spent the rest of the afternoon/evening at Emma Krumbee's Apple Orchard picking raspberries and apples and enjoying dinner at the restaurant there.
Upon arriving, the kids were ready to play!
They climbed around on the tractor play set before heading in to the orchard.
Apparently they thought my attempts at getting them to smile was hilarious.
Theo wasn't so sure about these crazy characters.
Trevor driving the old tractor.
Cutie student driver.
The classic Radio Flyer wagon full of excited kids...
On to raspberry picking.
Of course, eating some is the best part!
On to apples!
Austin pulled the wagon over the bumpy trail and Theo thought it was hilarious!
Picking with my big boy Trevor.
Daddy gave the kids a lift to reach the best apples on top!
Austin's a pro at picking big ones!
The littlest apple picker getting a lift from Uncle Steve.
Theo and Trevor rode back in the wagon with the apples.
And Trevor worked hard at keeping the apples from falling out of the wagon (since we way overfilled the bags - with encouragement from the staff!). We ended up with nearly 20 pounds of apples and have been enjoying them every day! We ended the day with dinner at the family restaurant there, complete with pie and malts.
Next up in our fall fun...Sever's Corn Maze.
