Valleyfair!

We enjoyed Valleyfair last weekend with the kids.  It was Trevor's first time going and we didn't think he'd be able to participate in much, but he just measured 36.3 inches tall at his 2 year old checkup the day before, so he was tall enough to ride pretty much all the little kid rides, either by himself, with Sarah and Austin, or with Mommy or Daddy.  The kids all had a blast!

We started by going to the "Dinosaurs Alive" part of the park.
All the kids were mesmerized by the moving, growling dinosaurs! (so they wouldn't look at me for a photo)
A carnotaurus going for the big kids.
Trevor kept saying "dinosaurs...eat us!"
(Except he doesn't say "dinosaurs" exactly...it sounds more like "dina - whores").

Then on to the rides!
Carousel first to ease Trevor in to trying out rides.
Austin's a pro.
Trevor thought it was pretty cool he got to ride a horsey (even though it wasn't a real one like at Gramma and PopPop's house.)
Then we went on a little monorail ride that went over the kid part of the park.  After that, it was on to the little train (just for the kids).
The kids and I went on Lucy's Tugboat, while Daddy captured some photos of us on the ride.
Then the ladybugs.  This was one of Trevor's favorites and he requested to go back to it later.  He liked that there was a little steering wheel and he got to "drive" the ladybug.
The race car ride is one of the big kids' favorites.  They giggle and squeal every time the car whips around the turn.  Here is a collection of their adorable grins.
Trevor rode with Daddy...
And then Mommy.

The "Kite Eating Tree" was one of the first rides we got Sarah to go on last year and still a favorite this year.  Trevor was big enough to go on (barely) and Austin was short enough to go on (barely), so this is probably the last time I will get all 3 kids on this ride at once.
Trevor wasn't sure about it for a few seconds.
But he very quickly decided this was really fun!
He was full of smiles and giggles!
We took a snack break to enjoy fair food - funnel cake and donuts.  Trevor was already starting to get a red face!
We realized right as we got out of the car that we had forgotten to pack to sunscreen in the diaper bag.  We figured we'd be able to get some in one of the little shops in the park, so we didn't turn around to go home and get some.  However, they apparently only sell sunscreen in the water park part (which is now closed for the season), so we were stuck. I even asked other moms in the kids' area of the park if they had brought sunscreen so I could borrow a glob for Trevor's face (especially for his scar on his nose), but nobody had any on them.  Bad mommy moment!  I tried to keep him under the shade on his stroller as much as possible, but the poor child's face still fried!

After our delicious snack, we gave our tummies some time to settle by heading to the ferris wheel.
Daddy was the "lucky" one to take the kids on the "Monster" (we called it the octopus).  That one will make you feel pretty sick!  The kids had fun and Daddy only got a little green.
The kids' swings ride was also popular.
Austin and I also broke off a couple times to ride the BIG rides.  We went on the "Power Tower" and the "Wild Thing".  Wild Thing has a 207 foot drop at a 60 degree angle, going up to 74 miles per hour.  Austin wanted to sit right up front, so we sat in the front seats!  Power Tower is even taller than Wild Thing and brings you up slowly (VERY high!) and then thrusts you downward.  Austin is tall for his age, so he can go on almost any ride in the park.  On these, he seemed absolutely terrified for part of each ride, but then said he had fun by the end.  My brave boy!
