Gramma and PopPop Visit!

Gramma and PopPop visited this past weekend.  They arrived on Thursday and we had to say goodbye on Sunday.  It was lots of fun to have them here and, despite some of our plans being spoiled by the weather, the kids had a blast playing with Gramma and PopPop!

I was finishing up a rounding week, so I had to work night clinic on Thursday and Friday evenings.  Gramma prepared a feast for all of us each night and I came home to a fabulous meal!
On Friday night, we had movie night and watched Tangled with the kids. I think the grown ups enjoyed the movie as much as the kiddos.
On Saturday morning, Gramma and PopPop made french toast and bacon.
Trevor thought it was quite yummy!
As did Sarah.
(Actually we all did, but I only got photos of Trevor and Sarah.)
After a delicious breakfast, we headed to Sarah's dance lessons.  This week was dress up day for Halloween, so Sarah wore her Rapunzel dress.
Stretching.
Her cute little preschool dance class (and for once she is not the tallest!).
Then Austin got to go to Toys R Us and ABC ToyZone to pick out birthday presents (a little early).
We were going to go to Sever's Corn Maze again this year and waited until Gramma and PopPop were here, but the weather did not want to cooperate on Saturday (40 degrees, cloudy, quite windy), so we decided to skip it this year. The kiddos spent the rest of the weekend playing dinosaurs, sticker books, etc. with Gramma and PopPop.

Sarah had so much fun playing with a sticker book Gramma and PopPop brought her.  She and PopPop spent hours working on each page and putting each sticker in the right spots.
Austin was VERY excited about his new dinosaur toys and showed off his extensive knowledge about dinosaurs to Gramma and PopPop.
I think this one was carnivores vs herbivores?
Tackle time!
We enjoyed a nice dinner at the restaurant where we had our rehearsal dinner before our wedding, then watched the Irish win!  On Sunday, we had nicer weather and had some playtime outside before having to say goodbye to Gramma and PopPop.

Other random photos/videos lately...
Trevor has been a little goofball lately.  One of his new favorite playthings has been none other than a nearly empty peanut butter jar.  He goes and gets it out of the pantry, carries it around the kitchen, pushed it around, spins it, chases it, etc.  What a goof!
He also has become attached to Austin and Sarah's "Prep and Landing" elf hats.  He is the baby that would not let me put a hat or hood on his head without a fuss.  However, he found this hat, put it on himself and has worn it around the house for hours at a time since then!
He also has discovered the fun of pots and pans.  Our pans were getting old and the non-stick coating was peeling, so we got some new ones.  We had the old ones piled in Steve's office to recycle (but haven't gotten around to it yet), and Trevor has been persistently pursuing our new pans.  We dragged out the old ones and let him go at them.  He has had a blast banging them, lifting them, and playing the lids like cymbals!

And a little fun swinging!  Trevor is having more and more fun at the park now.  He used to be not all that interested in the swing and would smile and have fun for a few minutes, but now he is happy to hang out in the swing for a while and giggles when Mommy or Austin pushes him.

Unfortunately, tonight he is sick and has been throwing up most of the evening, so we're hoping he feels better soon.  My poor little pumpkin.  The kids are excited for Halloween this week and my colleague was sweet enough to swap rounding weeks with me so that I was on rounds (including evening clinic) last week instead of this week, when I would have been in evening clinic instead of home with my babies for Trick or Treat time!
