Trevor is 11 months old!

Trevor turned 11 months old on July 23...only 1 month from his first birthday already!

Trevor is growing so fast!  At 11 months old, Trevor:
- weighs over 24 pounds
- wears 12 month clothes
- walks!  He started walking last week and is getting steadier every day!
- crawls really fast and can get across the room and into trouble in the blink of an eye.
- loves opening and closing drawers and cupboards (he particularly enjoys opening Daddy's underwear drawer and throwing his boxers all over the bathroom floor).  He gets into every cupboard in the kitchen and even pulls out the drawer with the garbage bin in it and reaches into the garbage bag. Icky!
- will make a beeline for the pantry if it is open.  He pulls himself up on the bottom shelf and slams cans of soup on the floor.  Luckily, so far, we have caught him before he has injured any of his little toes by dropping cans on them.
- loves to feed himself.  He has just gotten the hang of using a spoon to feed himself, but is still really messy with it.  He is great at finger feeding himself puffs, bits of bread, yogurt bites, bits of fruit, and crackers.
- loves to play with his brother and sister...and his brother's and sister's toys.
- is a momma's boy and fusses when I leave for work or even just leave the room for a moment.
- is sleeping much better now and doesn't even want to be held or rocked anymore.  He just wants to be put down in his crib and he goes to sleep on his own.  He sleeps through the night well and takes 1-2 naps during the day.  His naps are getting pretty reliable, although he gives Daddy more trouble for naps than he does for Mommy.
- gets into mischief when he wakes up and doesn't get out of his crib right away.  He can reach through the crib bars and grab the edge of his window blinds or reach out the other end and grab diapers off his changing table.
- babbles a lot and says "mama", "dada", and "nana".
- dances when his toys play music.
- is ticklish (especially on his feet, thighs, and neck).
- is getting much better about biting - I am no long bruised up and down my arms from him biting me.
- is getting molars and drooling and chewing on everything he can find.
- starting to point to things with one finger.
- waves bye-bye (and in appropriate situations too).
- plays peek a boo by putting a blankie or bath towel over his face and then pulls it down and grins.
- is a precious, adorable, mischievous, smiley, active, lovable baby who is growing and changing so quickly!  We are so blessed!

On to the photos in his rocking chair...looking back at the 1 month photos in the same chair, it is amazing to see how much he has grown!
His little "I'm a stinker" face.

Play time!

Check out my cool shades!
I love mashed potatoes! (and feeding myself)
He is so good sitting in the barber chair getting his hair cut!
He likes playing in the water in his ducky tub bath.

In other recent fun...Sarah had been playing "dance lessons" with her Care Bears, so I thought maybe she would enjoy actually taking dance lessons.  I researched different dance studios in the area and found one that seemed to be a good fit for Sarah to try.  They have a little "camp" program for preschoolers during the summer and we signed her up for the "Party Camp". Each day is a different party.  Monday was beach party day and they wore swim suits. Tuesday was tea party day and they work party dresses.  Wednesday was slumber party day and they wore jammies to class.  Thursday was costume party day and they work costumes (which were mostly princess dresses).  For taking dance lessons, the girls are supposed to get little ballet slippers, so Sarah and I popped over to a dance store in Burnsville to have her fitted for a pair of cute little pink ballet slippers.  She was so excited, she hugged them all the way home (until she fell asleep in her carseat still holding them).
On Tuesday (tea party day), they learned a little dance to "I'm a Little Tea Pot" and they brought the parents in at the end of the class to watch.  Check out the cuteness!

Sarah loved her week of dance lessons and we will be signing her up for the fall/winter session that starts in September. She is very excited!

Summer seems to be flying by and the school supplies are out in stores we're starting to get info from school about the upcoming year.  Before we end the summer, however, we've got some fun planned!  We are eagerly awaiting the arrival of Kevin, Keng, and Owen next week and our trip to Ruttger's for a family weekend together!
