Soccer!

Austin is playing soccer again this year.  He LOVES it!  He has a huge smile on his face the entire time he is on the field.  The beginning of the season, we had abnormally cold weather and the fields were closed due to snow for one of his practices.  We did spend couple VERY cold practices and games in our winter coats and blankets huddled on the sidelines.  

The weather is now cooperating more and we've been having fun being "that family" at his games.  I get the kids there while Steve commutes home from work and then we gather with Nanny, Grandpa, and Auntie Michelle.  We are loud and enthusiastic and Austin has a blast!

Austin's soccer skills are definitely developing and he is scoring plenty of goals.  The coaches do such a great job with the kids and it has been fun to watch him learn and have so much fun!

Even when Austin is on the sidelines as they rotate players in and out of the game, he is cheering for his teammates and yelling encouragements.  It is really cute to see how excited and enthusiastic he is about it.

He also gets so excited when he scores a goal (or when any of his teammates scores a goal).  He throws his arms in the air holding up number 1s and runs back to the other side of the field to high-five his coach.

School is coming to a close soon (beginning of June).   Sarah continues in swim lessons and is doing really well.  Austin will be starting T-ball this summer and starting back up with his swim lessons again too.  Trevor, the poor baby, is along for the ride.  He often misses his morning naptime because we are out and about bringing the big kids to and from activities or getting groceries, etc.  He no longer can stay napping in the carseat either, because he is now in the convertible carseat and I have to take him in and out of the carseat when we get out of the car, instead of having the infant carrier that he can stay asleep in.  He tolerates the busy schedule so well!  What a trooper!
