Introducing Trevor John Cronk

Our third little miracle was born today!
Trevor John Cronk was born at 3:58am on Thursday, August 23, one day past his due date (well, technically a bit under 4 hours past his due date).  He was 8 lbs 10.8 oz and 21.5 inches long.  He is perfect and beautiful and sweet.

Here I am before heading to the hospital in labor.
I had been having some contractions more and more throughout the day at work and they got stronger and more regular during the evening, so we headed into the hospital around midnight when they were strong and 2-3 minutes apart.  Within 4 hours of arriving at the hospital, Trevor was born.  I was amazed at how easy my labor was.  We only had one brief episode when my water broke that Trevor did not like the strong back to back contractions and he dropped his heart rate too low.  I was repositioned and wore an oxygen mask for a little while and all was well again.  I went from 4 cm on admission to 10 cm pretty quickly, pushed for 3 contractions and he was out.  He pinked up right away and got to snuggle with mommy.
He went right for sucking his thumb.
Mommy and Daddy with our newest little one.
Weighing in at 8 lbs 10.8 oz.
Daddy getting his first diaper on him.
 Snuggle time.
(Sorry for the bad camera angle...I was taking this photo from the bed while still numb from my epidural.)
 Nanny was his first visitor.

Then Grandpa got to come over while Steve headed home to get some breakfast and get the big kids up and ready to go.  Here he is meeting Trevor and demonstrating the "happy cry face."
When the kids arrived, I sat Trevor up so they could see him right away.
Austin was SUPER excited and I swear this grin didn't leave his face for hours.
Sarah had a bit more trepidation about all this and buried her face in Daddy's shoulder or ran and hid behind Nanny's legs for a while.
It didn't last long, though, and she was soon showering him with kisses along with Austin.
Austin got to hold him and did a great job!
 Happy Big Sister...
 ...and Big Brother!
 Lots and lots of kisses...
They were fascinated by putting their fingers in his hand and feeling him grab their fingers.
After being up all night, Steve finally hit the wall and fell asleep in the chair.
Bath time!
Grandpa gave the first bath, and Austin got to help.  Here is Austin cleaning out the "toe jam."
Little helpers for hair combing time.
Baby Brother sporting his new customized onesie.
And then with Big Brother and Big Sister.
Then they got matching gift bags from baby Trevor.
They were filled with toys, books, puzzles, stickers, etc. (even gummy bears!) and the kids loved them!
Sarah definitely warmed up to him after her initial hesitation.
Mommy snuck in some cuddle time too.

Austin wanted to hold him as much as he could.
And was just beaming with excitement about him.
 Comfy brother snuggles.
Ann came to visit this afternoon.  Somehow I missed out on taking a photo of her with Trevor.
And Jenny Casey was in town tonight, so she was able to come by and meet him too.
Auntie Michelle and Uncle Brian were able to come by after work to meet him.
Check out the thumb sucking skills!
And, of course, a little more snuggle time for Grandpa!
One more photo...I managed to catch a brief smile on my iPhone. Not the greatest photo, but cute anyway.

Now I seriously need some sleep...so I'm off to lala land as long as little Trevor will sleep for a little bit before he's ready to eat again.

Thanks for all the well wishes!  We are so blessed to have our 3 beautiful healthy children!
