Corn Maze and Fall Festival!

This past weekend, we enjoyed the uncharacteristically warm weather by going to Sever's Corn Maze and Fall Festival.
Sarah was really excited to get going.
She got her bag packed and was carrying it around like a purse.
I got Sarah's shoes on her, then she decided to put my shoes on...right over her own.
Checking out the pumpkins in the pumpkin patch before Auntie Michelle, Uncle Brian, and Nanny arrived.
Sarah was determined to pick up a big pumpkin.  She even made noises to indicate she was straining hard to lift it.
Then she found one more her size and was really excited about it!
Austin enjoyed the pumpkins as well, but managed to sit on a rotten one at some point, getting mushy pumpkin on his butt to start off the afternoon.
Smiles all around.
Austin and Sarah with Auntie Michelle and Uncle Brian.
Trying out the tractors.
The maze this year is a space theme.
There's a big astronaut out front and space helmets for the kids to wear.
Then into the maze...
Austin was really excited to find each letter marker in the maze.
Sarah was determined to walk for much of it.  She got Nanny and Auntie Michelle to walk with her and swing her up in the air.
Austin was very excited to do the maze.
Sarah liked to point to the astronauts on the signs when we found them.
We got a much needed water break in the middle.
Then finished the maze and headed to the Super Slide!
Then the jumpy pillows.
Then a break for tasty treats.
Sarah showing off her donut.
Then a ride on Gabby, the camel.
The exotic petting zoo was next.
Austin had fun feeding the animals.
Sarah was NOT so excited at first.
Mommy got bitten by an alpaca. It only broke the skin a tiny bit, so it's no big deal, but not everyone can say they've been bitten by an alpaca!  The real feisty one was the ostrich.  They had spoons there to feed the ostrich with, so you don't get your fingers bitten off.
Austin fed lots of animals...
...and Sarah got into feeding the animals when she saw the deer.
Checking out the kangaroos.
She got pretty excited about the monkeys too!

Pirate Austin and Mommy.

It was a fun day at the Corn Maze...
...but we came out absolutely filthy!  We headed home to shower and to bathe the kids, then had dinner at Auntie Michelle and Uncle Brian's house.

And some extra cuteness to wrap up...after dinner tonight, my little monkey demonstrated how she can recite the Five Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed book.  Too cute!
