How can life be anything but wonderful when I am blessed with the love of family and friends?
My two greatest blessings are...
Austin
and
Sarah
I can't believe how lucky I am to be their Mommy!
I hope in this busy time of year, we all take some time to remember how truly blessed we are.
And then, since I'm crazy about taking pictures of my kids...here are some cute photos from the past couple weeks.
Sarah is standing up a lot now. She pulls up more and more on everything she can find and now can stand on her own for a while (~20 seconds or so is the longest I have seen). Holding onto the little white rocking chair and rocking it back and forth is a favorite activity.
p.s. Thanks to the Hattons for the cute hand-me-down outfit!
Smiley girl!
Austin watching "Go Irish" with Grandpa. Austin was more interested in pointing out the letters and numbers on the screen than actually watching the football game, but he still cheered when the Irish got a touchdown!
Bath time! I try not to put bath pictures on the blog, but private parts are covered in this one.
Austin being smiley and Sarah trying to grab the water.
Lately, Sarah has been insistent on feeding herself....or at least attempting to feed herself. She has gotten a few bites from the bowl to her mouth with the baby spoon, but mainly, she makes a huge mess.
Unfortunately, she is rather stubborn about it and refuses to open her mouth unless she is wielding a spoon herself.
She is now quite proficient at eating graham crackers and Cheerios and is really intent on trying to eat more finger foods.
Last week, Austin chose a candy from his Halloween candy for his dessert after dinner. He shared a KitKat with me and Sarah was very interested in it, so I gave her half of a little KitKat bar for her to gnaw on. She loved it!
And Austin discovered that he loves Nanny's Snapple Green Tea after commandeering Nanny's drink during Thanksgiving dinner preparations.
That's it for now. My Grandpa B (the kids' Great-Grandpa) is visiting this week for Thanksgiving and I got some cute photos of him with Sarah, but those pictures are on my mom's little camera, so I'll have to add them later.
After rounding in the newborn nursery on Thanksgiving and having clinic today, I start another 7 day rounding block tomorrow, so updates will likely be scarce for a bit. We'll probably be getting the Christmas tree up next weekend. Austin is just starting to understand some of the Christmas traditions, so we're looking forward to seeing Christmas through the eyes of a preschooler this year. It will also be fun to see how Sarah reacts to the Christmas tree when it goes up!
