Sarah was on the Teen Elite 1 team at Premiere Dance Academy this year.

She had a few competitions for just her solo or one with her small group as well. She had 3 competitions with all her team dances, 1 with Darby's and Dads and Dolls, then 5 recitals, then Nationals in Charleston, SC. As you can imagine, I have a LOT of photos from the professional photographers at all these comps. I'll put in some of my favorites, but there are still quite a few!
1st Place for her Ballet Solo
The Masquerade competition in Duluth is always early March, so it has become a tradition to get shamrock shakes on the way to Duluth.
Sarah received a Judge's Choice Award for "Outstanding Execution" for her lyrical solo!

The first full studio competition was Applause.
Nanny came to watch Sarah dance.
The competition featured Sarah on their social media.
And our production...this is a great photo!
For some reason the photographer focused on her just walking across the stage.
I couldn't make it to the Symposium Competition and Steve was out of town with Trevor at a fencing tournament, so Auntie Jenna filled in as dance mom for the day!
Then on to BravO! where Sarah competed her solos.
She got Platinum scores for each of her solos, got a scholarship, was the category winner for lyrical and won 2nd place overall!
Crumbl cookies to celebrate
Next up was another full studio competition, Kids Artistic Revue (KAR)
Sarah was again featured on the competition's social media
Sarah is just left of the center of this photo with her buddy, Alison.
In10sity was the final regional full studio competition.
In10sity was the final regional full studio competition.
Another scholarship and high point award for Sarah's solos.
Dads and Dolls "Back In Time" competed at this one too!
On May 20th, we had the first every Premiere Company banquet!
At the banquet, they gave out 3 special awards, 1 for a senior (Legacy Award), 1 for someone that exemplifies the Premiere Pillas, and 1 for the Assistant Teacher of the Year.
Sarah was deservedly awarded the Assistant Teacher of the Year Award!
Sarah assists 4 classes, is a buddy for Darby's Dancers, and goes to the competitions on days she doesn't dance just to support "her littles" that she assists, even when it is one of their dances she doesn't assist with. She is so dedicated and the kids (and parents) adore her! Well done, my girl!
On to recitals!
We didn't get many photos of Dads and Dolls at the competition, so I took lots of photos at recital!
The studio photographer got a good one too, of course!
After that, we were off to Charleston, SC for Applause Nationals.
We rented a house for the week with the Schafroth family and the Shannon family.
It was a lot of fun and so nice to have a full kitchen and lots of space to relax.
The kids enjoyed the pool.
We did a "haunted carriage tour" one night, but aside from that, we were too busy at the competition every day to really do much of anything else in Charleston.
As is not unusual in this part of the country, though, we had a little visitor.
It did not go over well to find a cockroach in the house for my dancer girl who is scared of bugs!
She made me look up all sorts of info on cockroaches and figured out that cockroaches don't like the smell of bay leaves, so she took the bottle of bay leaves from the kitchen and put them all around and in her bed! Whatever it takes to get sleep before she has to compete her solos in the morning!
The next morning, we found the neighbor's tree had broken off and fallen into the yard through the fence. I think the owner was probably tired of hearing from us by then!
Found Sarah some Crumbl Cookies in Charleston too!
The photographer at this angle could see Sarah doing her job of moving Harlie and the prop around the stage between the parts Sarah was dancing in.
Sarah with the petite team she assists for tap.
Sarah's team minus Sarah (she didn't know the pic was being taken and was hanging out with Teddi, our little mouse in production).
Our production was 1st place overall and invited back to the "Best of the Best" competition on the last day to re-compete.
Then we won the Best of the Best competition too!
