Sarah turned 7 on January 26th!
At 7 years old, Sarah:
- is healthy and growing well. She is still tall and lean. She is 51.75 in tall (95th percentile), weighs 58 pounds (79th percentile), and has a BMI of 15.23 (44th percentile).
- is doing very well in school and is in the challenge reading and math groups.
- is in her first year on the competition dance team at her dance studio. She is going to be competing this spring in jazz and tap and performing at 3 recitals in June.
- also likes to play soccer and basketball in between dance practices.
- is sweet, sassy, smart, and silly.
- loves playing with Li'l Woodzeez toys and chose them as her theme for her birthday party.
On Sarah's birthday, we joined her for lunch at school. She was wearing her birthday crown to celebrate at school!
Between Trevor's preschool and lunch with Sarah, we stopped by the pirate-themed bookfair. Trevor was SO excited!
After lunch at school with the birthday girl, Trevor and I headed home and worked on making the birthday cake. Sarah requested chocolate cake. When she arrived home from school, she enjoyed cleaning out the mixing bowl.
We took her out to dinner, then returned home to give her our birthday gift. We got her a "Dream Duffel" for her dance competitions. She was pretty excited about it.
She had fun rolling it around the house.
We had her family birthday party on Saturday.
The big kids enjoyed showing Alexis their Osmo system and playing a words game against each other.
The kids at gift opening time.
Sarah was excited to receive more Li'l Woodzeez as well as gift cards to go pick out more.
She got the Li'l Woodzeez tree house from Nanny and Grandpa and was so excited about it, she sat there hugging it for a while.
Then it was birthday cake time!
We made her a woodland creature themed cake to go with her Li'l Woodzeez theme.
I stayed up very late on Wednesday night making all the little chocolate woodland creatures, flowers, acorns, and decorations. They turned out so cute!!The whole cake is a delicious chocolate cake with chocolate frosting made to look like a tree stump, then covered in fun creatures and decorations. I think it turned out great!
"Happy Birthday to you..."
Happy Birthday, my baby girl!
