Sarah was in the recreational dance program at Center Stage Dance Studio this year. This was her first year in the big recital. In the last 2 years, she did the preschool dance class and they had a little recital in the studio. This year, she got to wear fancy costumes and perform on the big stage as part of the studio's recital. They have 3 recitals (Thursday, Friday, and Saturday) and Sarah's class performed in the Thursday evening recital last week. She did a great job!

Dress rehearsal
The girls had movies and coloring books and crayons to keep them occupied between their dances at the dress rehearsal.
I tried some different camera settings, but had a hard time getting good photos of Sarah on stage. Here are a few that came out OK.

Auntie Trish and Aunt Jeannie were able to come and Auntie Michelle, Uncle Brian, and Theo made it through the first half before little Theo was ready for bed. (The recital went until about 9:15pm.)

Sarah has been invited to audition for the competition program at her dance studio. She is very excited and we are working on stretching every day to get her splits down before her audition in July. We're a little intimidated by the commitment required for competition dance team, but she is so happy dancing that we're going to do our best to support her in it.
