Last weekend was Easter. It was also a tough weekend in the Cronk household. To start things off, I decided I'd take the kids to the Harlem Globetrotters game at the Target Center. Austin had expressed an interest in going, so the next week when we heard they were coming soon I got tickets for the 4 of us to go (Daddy was working for busy season, so he couldn't come). In retrospect, it was a bad idea to take all 3 kids there myself. As I walked down the stairs at home to leave the house for the event, I slipped and fell down the stairs, bruising my right hip/bottom and injuring my right shoulder. By the time we got there, my shoulder was really hurting. We did fine getting there, and Trevor was excited to go, but he was quite difficult to manage pretty much the whole game. He was climbing all over everywhere, kicking the seat in front of him, spitting on the people in front of and behind us, getting upset and hitting and kicking me, and even tried to head butt me, but managed instead to whack his head on the arm rest of the seat. It was hard to wrangle him, especially with an injured shoulder. After the game, we tried to work our way to the court for the autograph session, but the crowd was just too formidable to make it there in time, so after about 20 mins of fighting the crowds, we decided to call it a day and left. It was fun to see the game, but I wish I had gotten the chance to enjoy it instead of fighting Trevor the whole time.
Trevor was excited at first.
There were lots of tricks and silly antics by the players.
The big kids thought it was hilarious and really enjoyed it!
Then on to Easter! We got the kids to bed so the Easter Bunny could come. However, around 4am, Sarah woke up vomiting. Trevor was up for some reason as well and was in the hallway saying, "Yep, she's puking." We got Trevor back to bed. Sarah threw up many times and was up for probably another hour. Eventually, she stopped throwing up and fell back to sleep. When it was time to get up for church, all 3 kids were still asleep, so we decided to let them sleep. I guess we're bad Catholics, but we ended up missing Easter Mass. By the time Sarah woke up for the day, she was 100% back to normal. She ate and drank like normal and even had her Easter candy and brunch at Grandpa's golf club without any difficulty!
Gramma and PopPop sent us a cookie bouquet before Easter and Sarah had fun posing with the cookie bunny ears on her own head.
She also found some of the Easter accessories in the Easter storage bin and had fun putting on lots of bunny ears.
Sarah also made some drawings for Jesus and the Easter Bunny.
Easter morning - ready to go down and find what the Easter Bunny brought!
My little bunnies!
Trevor and Austin finding their baskets
Sarah was just a little bit excited!
Egg hunting
Then we got dressed up for brunch. Sarah wanted pigtail braids, so I gave it a try. They turned out better than I expected.
Off to the club. There was an Easter craft table for the kids to work on while we were waiting for the rest of the family to arrive.
Then meeting the Easter Bunny.
Theo thought the Easter Bunny was a "big cat".
But was pretty excited about brunch - especially the yummy berries!
Goofball Trevor
The kids got to do an Easter egg hunt in the locker room/lounge.
After that, we headed home and enjoyed some downtime at home playing and relaxing. What a weekend!
