Recovering

It has been a crazy last few weeks as busy season continues for Steve, winter seems to not be letting up despite spring supposedly arriving (according to the calendar, at least), and recently we have ALL been sick.  We have had a tummy bug make its way through our household multiple times and not one of us has been spared.  At one point, Steve, Sarah, and Austin were all sick at once!  Now we are all recovering and getting back into our normal routines (and praying it doesn't come through again!).

Trevor continues to achieve new milestones at a rapid pace.  In about 1.5 weeks after his 6 month well baby visit, he learned how to crawl (and got much faster and more efficient at it), can get from a crawling position to a sitting position, sits on his own quite well, pulls himself to a stand, and walks if his hands are held.  Someone forgot to tell him he's only 6 months old!
Austin and Sarah have been enjoying playing games.  Austin, in particular, puts on his Notre Dame jerseys and plays pretend basketball and football games in the playroom.  He gets really into it and gives us updates on the scores as he goes.
Sarah got in on the action when Nanny was here the other day and she got a lift making slam dunks.
Trevor pulls up on his music table and is pretty proud of himself.
Then time to tackle Nanny!  Grandbaby pile!
Trevor doesn't particularly like his highchair, but is doing well with eating baby food.  He has 2 teeth on the bottom now (which popped out right around when he started crawling).  I managed to get a peek a shot of them when he was smiling at lunch time the other day.  Check out the cute little choppers!  Not so cute when he bites me, though.  I guess I'll stop letting him use my fingers as teethers!
Sarah enjoying her squash and being shy about letting me take her picture.

My big girl Sarah is now totally potty trained!  She has been physically ready for it for quite some time now.  She was able to stay dry in her pull ups for large portions of the day, even waking up dry in her overnight pull up in the mornings.  She would show interest in the potty intermittently, but never really went for it.  We figured that as soon as she wanted to do it, she would get it right away...and she did!  We used her interest in princesses to encourage her to go for it.  We got her princess underpants, a princess potty chart, and princess figurine sets as potty prizes.  She still took a while before she caught on, but one day I just decided to let her be in underpants.  She went for it and was dry all day long until around 5pm, when she had 2 wetting accidents in the playroom.  She had a stooling accident in her underpants the next day, and that was it!  She did great from then on!  Each time she went on the potty, she got a sticker on her chart, and she quickly started earning her potty prizes.  A few days ago, she completed her potty chart (all 35 stickers!) and was very proud of herself.  Here she is showing off one of her pairs of princess underpants and her completed potty chart!
Way to go big girl Sarah!
