Trevor is 5 months old!

Trevor is 5 months old!

He is starting to look so big in his rocking chair.

At 5 months, Trevor:

- Weighs in at about 20 pounds (at least by the measurement on our bathroom scale with me holding him then subtracting my weight without him).  I'm not sure how accurate that is (seems high, even though he is a big baby!), but there are plenty of times I want our bathroom scale to be wrong, so who knows?

- Wears 6-9 month old clothes and size 3 diapers.

- Is outgrowing things at a rapid pace.

- Sleeps in chunks of about 5 or more hours at night, typically falling asleep shortly after the big kids go to bed around 8:30pm and then waking around midnight-1am to eat, then going back to sleep until usually anywhere from 5:30am to 7:30am.  He usually goes back to bed in the morning.

- Takes multiple short naps during the day, but will sleep longer if he sleeps lying on Mommy or Daddy's chest.

- Is a proficient roller now. Can roll across the room. Loves to roll over in his crib and sleep on his tummy.  

- Sits up on his own.  He still needs someone close by to catch him when he tips over, but is really sitting pretty stably for his age.

- Likes to play with toys. He bats at them, grabs them, puts them in his mouth, etc.

- His favorite toys right now are his vtech rolling ball from Trish, his bouncing Tigger from Nanny, and his teether toys.

- Laughs out loud and giggles.

- Is starting to be more vocal, cooing, babbling, blowing raspberries, and squealing more.

- Likes to play in his exersaucer.

- Loves to watch his big brother and big sister play.

- Tries desperately to watch TV in the rare instance it is on when he is awake and in the room.

- Likes his baths and is starting to kick and splash some.

- Is so smiley that I have a hard time restraining myself taking photos of him all day long.

So, on that note...oodles of photos.  I whittled it down a wee bit, but still had trouble choosing between some of these. 

Trevor has started laughing and giggling more.  Here is a little video right before bedtime tonight, when Trevor was being smiley.


Big brother and big sister got cute haircuts and are having their photos taken by our photographer on Saturday!  Stay tuned for the results.

Austin has fun poking his tongue through the hole in his tooth.

Coming this weekend....Sarah's 3rd birthday is on Saturday and we're having family over to celebrate our little princess!  We're attempting our tallest cake yet.  We'll see how it goes.
