Ready for Easter!

We excitedly welcomed spring last week...only to wake up to snow this morning.  Luckily, the snow was short lived and melted pretty quickly.  Here are some photos of us enjoying the temperatures in the 60s and 70s.
Sarah having fun with the bubble blower mower.
And showing off Austin's helmet on top of her hat.
She LOVES wearing her hat and wears it around the house all the time (such a contrast from Austin who hated wearing a hat).
 Fun at the park.
Heading down the slide with Tammy.
 Peeking out of the tunnel.

The other day, when Austin was done with dinner, he hopped down from his chair, ran over to the family room, grabbed his toy "laptop", plopped himself down on my chair at the table and said, "I need to check my e-mail."

The playhouse is back...and now in pink!
Austin had this playhouse with a train station cover when we lived in Rochester. It got tucked away when we were selling the house and I just now got it out again.  Sarah got a cottage cover for her birthday for this playhouse frame and was definitely outgrowing some of the baby playhouse/tent structures she already had out in the playroom.  I could not, for the life of me, find the screws to put this darn thing together and I searched for hours while Sarah was napping. I finally gave up and called the company to get a copy of the installation instructions e-mailed to me so I could go buy the parts.  After finally getting that figured out, I went to Lowe's and had 3 very nice and knowledgable gentlemen helping me for about 30 minutes searching for the right screws/bolts to match the missing ones, but they were unable to find the appropriate part for me.  They noted that if I brought back the wood slats, they could figure out what would fit.  The kids were starting to lose it and needed to get home for lunch, so we headed home, had lunch, and I got the kids to bed for their naps.  It was then that I decided I was going to look again at the spot I thought the screws should be, even though I had already searched it once.  Well, I found them!  Yay!  However, as soon as I started putting it together, Sarah woke up from her nap...so I had a 14 month old "helper" putting it together with me.  It was probably not the best idea, because Sarah was picking up the big wooden pieces and walking around with them as I was trying to get them arranged for assembly.  She was also very interested in the bag of screws and washers I was using, which would not be good things for her to swallow!  I did manage to get it together without any harm to Sarah, me, the playhouse, or the playroom walls (though Sarah came close to whacking them a few times with the wooden pieces she carried around).   So there it is...the saga of the playhouse.  It took an entire day to get this all figured out, but in the end, the kids LOVE it!

Sarah has been having fun putting on hats - like Daddy's Notre Dame cap.  Go IRISH!

Kevin, Keng, Michelle, Brian, Steve and I met up at The Melting Pot on Saturday night for a sibs dinner.  It was really good food and tons of fun!  I thoroughly enjoyed my first fondue experience!

Easter goodies arrived early at our house!
Gramma and PopPop Cronk sent the kids Easter presents and they are so excited about them!
The wind-up jumpy bunnies were definitely a hit!
 As were the marshmallow treats!

Easter will be here soon!  We are hosting 20-22 family at our house for Easter Brunch, so it should be a flurry of fun and activity!  The busy tax season is over and things are slowing down a bit at work for me, so we are getting back to our regular routines.  Now if only the weather would cooperate and remember that it is supposed to be springtime...
