Family Time!

Gramma and PopPop Cronk came to visit this past week!  I had to work a lot during the week, but it was great to see them and they got to meet Sarah and have fun playing with Austin.

Tickles from PopPop
Baking a cake for PopPop's birthday on May 4.
Yummy!  Licking the spatula is the best part!
Then a little upside-down time.
Sarah enjoying watching from her bouncy chair.

Gramma and PopPop got Austin his first big kid bike!  He got a Cars bike, complete with a Lighting McQueen bike helmet!

Unfortunately, it was really windy out that day and it started to rain on us shortly after we headed outside for Austin to try out his new bike.  PopPop helped him learn how to ride it.
Sarah hanging out in the Baby Bjorn carrier and watching the action.  She likes the Baby Bjorn much better now that she is big enough to face outward and see what's going on.
Austin had oodles of fun playing with Gramma and PopPop!  He even convinced PopPop to sit in time-out with him...
While they were here, we heard the joyous news that Auntie PiPi (aka Diana, Steve's sister) got engaged!  We're so excited for her!  We were on the scheming end of the proposal because her boyfriend had planned a surprise proposal for her on the same night that she was planning to make him a big surprise birthday dinner.  We tipped him off, so he could sway the plans a bit and not ruin the proposal.
Then this weekend, I heard that Ellen (one of my roomies from college) just got engaged this weekend too!  Yay for the happy couples!

Gramma and PopPop headed back to Texas on Friday.  I had a really long and busy day at work on Friday and got home around 9pm, so it was good that they were still around for half the day, so Steve didn't have the kids on his own for the whole long day.  Then on Saturday, the kids and I went to a baby shower for Allison's 2nd baby - a boy this time.  Then it was up to Nanny and Grandpa's house for Mother's Day weekend.
A few of Auntie Michelle's friends came to visit and met Sarah and Austin.
Austin conducted story time for them and they were quite amused by it.

Watching the Penguins with Uncle Brian.

We had a yummy dinner with Nanny, Grandpa, Uncle Brian and Auntie Michelle on Saturday night, stayed up too late playing games, then slept in on Sunday before heading to Mother's Day brunch at the club.

My little man and I
My honey and I
Sarah snoozed in her carseat the whole brunch.
Then we headed over to visit GiGi.
Sarah with GiGi (her great-grandmother) and Auntie Michelle (her Godmother).
Austin had fun throwing around a big blue ball and sitting on it while playing with the "red button" app on Uncle Brian's iPhone.
After visiting GiGi, we hung out at Nanny's house, took naps (all except Austin) and then had a low-key pizza supper before heading home to Rochester Sunday night.

I've got a busy work schedule coming up (working 25 of the next 26 days, including lots of long days and some overnight 30 hr shifts).  I'm almost done with residency though!  June 25 is my last day.  Now if only my house would sell...

I just got the CD of Sarah's 3 month photo shoot, so I'll be posting my favorites soon.  They're adorable!
