My Growing Girl!

My little Sarah is almost 11 weeks old and is growing so fast! I am amazed every day at how precious and beautiful this little miracle is. Recently, she has been getting so strong that I decided to take some pictures to show how she is holding her head and chest up on her own when on her tummy. She also is full of smiles and "talks," squeals, and coos at us as if she was carrying on a conversation. Here are a bunch of photos from the last 2 days...yes, some of them are a bit redundant, but I just couldn't choose between them since they each have a little bit different personality in them.

Cutie little socks from Uncle Jim.My cutie...Talking to me...Trying to suck her thumb...she is getting soooo close to getting it more consistently. So strong!"Enough pictures, mom!"
Austin still loves to hold Sarah, and now he is used to me taking his picture when I get the two of them together and happy, so whenever he gets situated holding Sarah he asks me, "Mommy, can you take my picture now?"It is a little bit more challenging to get pictures of him these days though, because when you ask him to smile, he does a goofy smile in which he sucks his lips in over his teeth (see photo below) and you have to make him laugh or distract him somehow so that he'll give you a real smile.
Some more photos of Sarah showing off her strength this morning...Now if only I could get her to keep smiling at me when I get the camera out. Then I'd be able to capture all the adorable smiles she gives me all day long! She, like her brother, is used to the camera by now. She still isn't thrilled about it, though, and stops smiling when I hide behind the camera to try to take her picture.

That's about it for us lately. I'm recovering from my 2nd bout of mastitis in a month and working night shifts on the general pediatric hospital service as the night senior resident. Daddy's been holding down the fort at home while I'm gone and has been doing better with figuring out how to get 2 kids to bed by himself. Our house is still on the market...and still has had very little activity with showings. It is starting to stress me out a bit, so any prayers you may have for our house to sell would be appreciated. We are happy spring has sprung and have been enjoying playing outside, long walks around the neighborhood, and trips to the park. Sarah turns 3 months old on the 26th and we have her scheduled for 3 month photos coming up on the 21st, so stay tuned for more cute photos.

Sarah is getting so big!! She is beautiful and Austin seems to be doing well too! I do understand life's chaos, as well as the stress of trying to sell your house. You are in our prayers! Hopefully the right buyers will find us both, and soon! See you soon!
