Not much going on with us this week. I've been working emergency department shifts (usually nights), and the weather has turned rainy and cold this weekend.
Here are a few cute photos from the past week...
I was making fish faces at Austin during dinner and it cracked him up. I grabbed the camera and he tried to see around the camera to see my fish faces. He was quite entertained!
When I'm home in the morning, we usually have breakfast, then I get Austin dressed. Then I go into my room intending to get dressed. What ends up happening is hide-and-seek! Austin closes my bedroom door, then knocks on the door and asks to come in. When he comes in, I am either right there at the door to surprise him, or I hide somewhere around the room and jump out at him when he finds me. He giggles like crazy, then runs out of the room to do it again.
We still occasionally find Austin asleep in his rocking chair after we put him to bed at night. We can usually hear on the monitor when he gets out of bed and climbs into his chair, but sometimes he surprises us. A few nights ago, I went into his room when I got home around midnight and found him in his chair, after he was put down to bed a few hours before! My silly baby!
Today, Austin and I made chocolate chip cookies. He had lots of fun pouring in the ingredients, using the mixer, licking the beaters, and of course, stirring in the chocolate chips. He even got to "sample" some of the ingredients as they went in (brown sugar, chocolate chips, etc). Here he is stirring in the chocolate chips (with some chocolate smeared across his cheek from sampling the chips before they went into the bowl).
I vacuumed up the spilled sugar and flour afterwards, and of course, Austin wanted to vacuum too.
That's it for now. We're looking forward to heading up to the Twin Cities for Becca's graduation party on Saturday!
