Baking with my little valentine

Steve went in to work in the office today and I had the day off, so Austin and I had a fun day together just the 2 of us! First, we met up with some friend at Pipsqueaks, an indoor playground here. Austin had fun running around and playing for a little over an hour before we headed home. He tuckered himself out and was very snuggly when we got home. We watched a Veggie Tales episode, then had some lunch. After lunch, we both took a nice nap. After a short afternoon snack, Austin and I made some cupcakes! We had some ingredients around for making a birthday cake for mommy, but we decided to make a fun afternoon of it by making Valentine cupcakes together.

We put his Pooh mat on the floor and got out all our ingredients.

Then we made frosting to put on top. Licking the beaters was one of the highlights for Austin. He wasn't quite sure what to do with them at first, but he got the hang of it and loved licking the frosting off the beaters.
