Despite
me having to work most of the weekend, we took a whirlwind trip up to the Twin
Cities for a few hours on Saturday night to attend the surprise party for
Jeannie and Tim's 25th anniversary! They were definitely surprised and it was a
great party.

It was also Jeannie's birthday
this weekend (Aug 3) and Unlce Hal's birthday is the same day! Our family is
full of birthday buddies.
Elizabeth and Becca did a great
job arranging the surprise for their parents!
Michelle and Brian came for the
party too.
Austin had a blast and did really pretty well given the crowd of people and the
fun and excitement of playing with the other kids and jumping on the
trampoline.

Between, Nanny, Grandpa, and I,
Austin managed to get a LOT of cake and brownies.
He also figured out how to drink
a bottle of water on his own! Way to go little man!
When
it started getting late, we got Austin changed into his jammies, brushed his
teeth and said our goodbyes. We got in the car at about 9:30pm, but Austin was
riled up from all the activity, so he didn't fall asleep until about 10:20.
When I got him out of the car, he didn't even flinch he was so tired! He was
out cold on my shoulder and I just transferred him right to his crib and he
slept like a rock! He took a 3 hour nap the next day to catch up. Then it was
back to work for me on Sunday. I need a day off! Luckily, I have this upcoming
weekend off and we plan on heading up to the Twin Cities for the weekend for a
family game of dominoes and a trip to the Children's Museum with Austin and
Alexis.
