Fall 2024

The fall brought more soccer...
Team photos for Sarah's dance team, Teen Elite 1

Trevor won another Banana Tournament

Off to Notre Dame for our family game gathering!

I'm officially Notre Dame homeless!  My dorm is now a hole in the ground where they tore it down to build a new dorm.  Pangborn Hall is no longer!

Austin was chosen to participate in the 2024 All-Conference Music Festival, and this time, he made it to the concert in the evening!  (Last year, he had his second seizure while at rehearsal for this and didn't make it to the concert that evening.)

More fall sports action...

Trevor won the local fall tournament and got a pretty fun medal!

Austin got a lot of good playing time on Varsity on Senior Night!

End of the JV season with Coach Tenekay!

A night out with the Metro Peds docs.
Homecoming festivities
Austin played in the boys volleyball tournament.
The freshman had a separate dance and Sarah went with her friends.

Austin went to the older students' homecoming dance with his buddies too.

In October, we had some beautiful northern lights over our house!

We made our annual visit to Minnesota's Largest Candy Store.

Austin finished out the soccer season on the Varsity team for the sectionals games and received a medal with the team for placing 2nd place in their section.

Date night for Steve and I
(We now have season tickets to the Hennepin Theater Trust, so we get tickets for 8-10 or so shows a year!)

Another fun local fencing tournament for Trevor.
He came in 2nd after his buddy Callen and his team won 2nd place in the team event as well.

Halloween
Trevor carved his pumpkin with the YEL fencing club symbol.
Sarah and Trevor went trick or treating with the Schafroths.

Fall band concert

Austin routinely was an altar server for Mass at school.
Trevor won another Banana Tournament!
Austin was recognized as a Commended Scholar in the National Merit Scholar program.

Sarah stayed with Auntie Michelle for her Production Kick-off weekend while the rest of the family went to ND for a football game over Austin's birthday weekend!

We stayed at Uncle Jim's lake house and celebrated Austin's 18th birthday!
(He missed being able to vote in the election by 4 days!)

When we knew we would be visiting that weekend, I e-mailed the head coach of Notre Dame fencing to see if we could visit the fencing team or headquarters.  The coach responded immediately and put us in contact with the manager, who met up with us and let us tour the fencing facilities!  My little fencer was dreaming big that day!

My LEGO enthusiast was also excited to find a fencer mini figure in the LEGO model of the Golden Dome!

Lee Kiefer, ND fencing alum and Olympic gold medalist, was there with her medals as well.

Austin received his Varsity Letter at the soccer banquet.

Trevor made an icon for his fencing team for the Thanksgiving tournament at YEL and put a medal on a stuffed turkey to be the mascot.

They Gobble Guard did win the tournament and each received a gigantic pie as a prize!

Sarah's had the showcase for the "Little Starz" class she is an assistant teacher for at the dance studio.

We renovated the kids' bathroom.
Before...
After...

Sarah's dance team packed meals at Feed My Starving Children.

We had a Thanksgiving feast at Metro Peds.

And celebrated Thanksgiving with family at Nanny and Grandpa's house.

On to the winter next.
