Gingerbread cookie day!
Gingerbread fencers!
Trevor got the chance to go to Wolf Ridge Environmental Learning Center with his classmates for a week in December. They actually had great weather for December. They did ropes courses, rock climbing, geocaching, learned wilderness survival skills, interacted with birds, tracked animals, and much more. He had a blast!
Austin had his winter band concert at BSM and his Knowledge Bowl Team, "The Bowler Express" (aka the Bad Hair Club according to Sarah) had some great success!
We enjoyed a night out with family with dinner at The Melting Pot and then to the Orpheum for "Aladdin".
Sarah had her winter Honor Band concert.
Trevor had the Reindeer Open fencing tournament at his club.
He did well and took 5th place out of 16 in the Y12 age group.
For the team portion of the tournament, they didn't have enough teams in the Y12 division to hold the team competition, so his coach asked him to fill out one of the senior teams! He was fencing with high school and college students and did really well! He beat a U of MN fencer 5-0 in pools. He had to withdraw at the end of the tournament because he was getting sick with a cold and his asthma flared with it. He was coughing so hard he threw up, so we withdrew him and let him watch his team finish up. It was a really fun experience for him to be with the "big kids".
After the tournament, Mr. Elf got in on the nebulizer action too.
Sugar Cookie Day!
Austin made the buttercream frosting this year.
OK, now Christmas can come.
