Austin's Soccer Season

Austin LOVES playing soccer!  This year, he made the top team for his age group, enjoyed attending camps locally as well as a sleep away camp at a local university, and had fun watching the professionals play in the World Cup on TV.  His team, however, had a really rough season. They were in a new league this year, barely had enough players to field a team (and had to have play ups for many games), and was not placed at the appropriate level.  They lost every game they played, unfortunately. The only game they didn't lose was the very last game that got rained out and thus counted as a tie.  Some games were close (3-2 or 3-1) and some were decidedly NOT close (1-11 or 0-10).  He still played hard and enjoyed getting to play the sport he loves.

I was the manager of the team again this season and in making sure I always had all the paperwork, passes, etc. for the games, I almost always forgot the camera.  I did get some photos at one of his games.  He is #39 in red.
Go Austin!
Tryouts for next year are coming up in a week, so he's excited to work toward next season.  Here's hoping it is a more successful year for the team!
