Busy Summer Week!

This past week was crazy busy, but lots of fun!

We started the week taking the kids to see the Children's Theatre Company production of Peter Pan last Saturday.  We got tickets months ago with a Groupon and somehow ended up with seats in the middle of the front row!  The kids got to look into the pit orchestra and chat with the conductor before the show, then watch the show from right up front.  They loved it!
The next day, we celebrated Father's Day by making Daddy bacon pancakes and cinnamon rolls for breakfast, then heading to Church, and enjoying a yummy dinner with family at Olympic Hills.
Trevor was a fan of the ice cream cones for dessert.
Austin had fun helping Theo climb the hill on the lawn.

During the week, we had sports galore!  Austin had basketball camp on Monday and Wednesday.  We had the last week of soccer Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.  On Monday, lacrosse camp for Austin and Sarah got rained out, but they had lacrosse Tuesday through Friday (Sarah for 9am-noon, Austin from 1-4pm).  They had fun learning a new sport!

After the last day of soccer for the season on Saturday morning, Austin headed off with Grandpa to shoot some golf balls at the driving range with Austin's new set of golf clubs.  Then Sarah and I got to attend a tea party for Elizabeth's Baby Shower!
Sarah was very excited to be included in the tea party!

Other random things this week...
We finally got Austin's wall decals put up.  He made sure we got the solar system in the right order as much as possible ("Don't forget the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter!")
And my poor baby Trevor has now had 3 episodes of needing to take inhaled medication (nebulizer or inhaler).  Most recently, he had to use my inhaler when he developed wheezing at Gramma and PopPop's house.  Now that we're home, he came up to me with this tube (actually a piece of a play soccer goal) and said "Here's your medicine, Mommy. Breathe!" (in Trevor speak, "breeeeve"). Then he put the right angle piece on (like the valved holding chamber we attach to the inhaler for him to be able to take it) and pretended he was taking his breathing medicine too.  Cute, but a little sad.  Hopefully, he'll stop flaring up and won't go on to have asthma like his Mommy (about the only thing he inherited from Mommy it seems so far).
It certainly hasn't been slowing him down...

That's it for this week. I'll do a separate post on the soccer season.  Next week, we're looking forward to a little bit long weekend to celebrate the 4th of July with family at the Murphy's cabin/beach on the St. Croix River.
