Easter

Happy Easter!
We planned a bit of a low key celebration today in anticipation of our little nephew either arriving before Easter and being brand new or NOT arriving by Easter and having Michelle still very pregnant.  Baby has not yet been born, so we are still eagerly awaiting his arrival.  In the mean time, we celebrated that Jesus is risen and the tomb is empty!

When the big kids woke up in the morning, they saw the sign from the Easter bunny by the stairs telling them to not go downstairs without their parents.  Austin read to Sarah in his room until Trevor woke up and we were ready to head downstairs to find the Easter eggs and baskets that the Easter bunny hid for them.  Trevor thought the big bunnies by the stairs were pretty cool.
Ready for Easter morning.
 So excited.
 Finding eggs!
 And baskets.
Trevor puzzling over why the egg he found doesn't have jelly beans in it.
He then figured out how to get his hands on the big kids' eggs (that have jelly beans in them), popping them open to spill the jelly beans on the floor, then eating as many as he can.
Austin and Sarah doing some teamwork to find a golden egg.
Austin showing off the golden egg, which he tells us is important because it is empty, just like Jesus' tomb.
Austin was also very excited that the Easter Bunny brought him a Jesus Storybook Bible just like Sarah's.
 Sarah got the "Frozen" movie.
And some brand new crayons.
Trevor smiling at the goofy duck singing "Splish Splash".
My happy little bunnies.

We got everybody dressed and ready for Church.
The kids did well in Mass and even were complimented on their behavior.  Trevor got too wiggly and noisy and needed a break in the hall for a few minutes, but otherwise, the kids did quite well.  After Church, we headed to Easter brunch at Olympic Hills with Nanny and Grandpa, Auntie Michelle and Uncle Brian.
Trevor thoroughly enjoyed the chocolate mousse dessert.

We then headed home and enjoyed playing outside in the gorgeous weather!  Up to 76 degrees and sunny today.  Perfect weather!
Sarah with her new basketball.
Brian with the basketball under his shirt...and Michelle with her baby basketball under her shirt. Come on out and play, baby Chester!
Nanny brought marshmallow guns for the big kids.
Uncle Brian was kind enough to be a willing target for the marshmallow shooting.
Then we took a walk to the park.  Trevor was giving out kisses to Auntie Michelle.
And Sarah was riding in style.
Nanny helped her on the hills and she did a great job starting to use her pedal brakes.
Park play time.
It was a fabulous, beautiful, fun, busy day!  We eagerly await the arrival of baby Chester in the next week (hopefully for Michelle's sake, sooner rather than later since he is already overdue!).
