Happy Easter!

We celebrated Easter with family and enjoyed welcoming Uncle Brian into the Catholic Church as he completed RCIA and was confirmed at the Easter Vigil Mass.

Of course, going to Easter Vigil Mass and then celebrating Easter on Sunday, one benefit is that I got to dress the kids up twice!  Before heading to Church on Saturday evening, I tried to get a photo of the kids in their cute outfits...but Sarah was too busy giving her big brother kisses.
Another attempt thwarted by the camera focusing behind them on the cabinet and TV.
After a move to the couch, we got a cute shot.
And then, of course, goofy faces!
Easter morning, the kids were pretty excited to head downstairs and see if the Easter Bunny came and hid some eggs and Easter baskets for them.
"Hooray!"
The kids patiently waited through breakfast time, then got ready to hunt for some Easter eggs (inside the house).
Love the tiptoes!  Trying to reach another egg.
Austin found his basket and was really excited about the fun treats.
Sarah was too excited about finding the eggs to bother with her basket (even when we pointed it out to her).  She went back for it later when her basket of eggs was full.  The first thing she did was pull out the Cadbury Creme Eggs and hold them up for Daddy. (Daddy loves the Cadbury eggs and Sarah thought they were for him!).
Bunny glasses.
And bunny ears.  My baby LOVES jelly beans!
Feeding jelly beans to bunny.
We met up with Nanny and Grandpa, Auntie Michelle and Uncle Brian for brunch at the golf club.  While waiting for the rest of the family to arrive, the kids happened to be right by the elevator as the Easter Bunny arrived!  They were really excited and got hugs, high fives, and a photo with the bunny.

Sarah watched the Easter Bunny visit all the other kids throughout the room and anytime the bunny came anywhere near our table, she would wave frantically and squeal excitedly.  After brunch, as we were finishing up at the table, the kids wandered around the club with Nanny.  Sarah found the Easter Bunny again and led him around the pro shop until we rescued the bunny and convinced Sarah that he needed to go visit other kids too.
Back at home...a few photos of the kids in their Easter outfits.  This precious little dress for Sarah has been tucked away in her closet since we received it as a gift when Sarah was born.  Thanks Erica!
The Easter Bunny also brought the kids some treats at Nanny's house.  Another Easter basket = more jelly beans!  Sarah loves them!
Look at this sweet little face.
The Easter Bunny brought a train mat and passenger train for Austin to Nanny's house.  He totally adores it and since then, we have to negotiate when he can play with it and when he needs to accomplish other things (like sleeping, eating, bathing, etc.).
Then we hid the plastic eggs outside and headed out for another Easter egg hunt.  It was chilly and windy, but we had fun running around with the kids.
Austin had a blast!  Then he ran around the corner holding up an egg and shouted, "I am an Easter egg hunting GENIUS!"
How many can I carry before I've gotta go dump them in my basket?
Once the eggs were all found, Austin headed back inside to play with his trains while Sarah dug out her tricycle and tried to convince the chilly adults to stay outside in the wind and play on the driveway. She didn't last long, but was oblivious to the wind blowing her hair in her face.
Nap time for all followed shortly thereafter and we spent the afternoon/evening relaxing and enjoying each other. What a blessed Easter!
