Preschool Christmas Program

This morning Austin performed in his preschool Christmas program.  It was absolutely adorable!  Nanny and Grandpa came to see it with Mommy and Sarah.  Austin was very excited about it and was all smiles!  He was very animated singing the songs, doing the little hand motions, and ringing the jingle bells.  After one song, he made everybody laugh by throwing his hands up and exclaiming, "We did it!"  Too cute!

Here is a video of the program...

We continue to prepare for Christmas, though at this point we're hoping Santa will bring us good health, since we are all sick right now. Austin and I are coughing up a storm, Sarah is pretty stuffy, is getting her front teeth, and was up much of the night screaming, and Steve is getting over a sore throat. Ah, the joys of having a preschooler who brings home all sorts of fun germs! It doesn't help that I'm exposed to everything at work too.

Only a few days til Christmas!  Austin wakes up every morning and asks if it is Christmas Eve yet.  Steve and I braved the crowds last Saturday to do some Christmas shopping for the kids.  I'm not sure what we were thinking when we decided to go to Toys R Us the weekend before Christmas.  It was really busy!  There was even a lady who had completely lost it.  She stood in the middle of one of the large aisles holding a toy and screaming "Does anybody work here?!  NO?  Nobody works here?!......DOES ANYBODY WORK HERE?!"  Uh...it's Toys R Us the weekend before Christmas....what do you expect, crazy lady?  Anyway, Nanny and Grandpa babysat while we went shopping and then stayed to babysit for the evening so Steve and I could go on a date!  (It has been probably a couple years since we had a date...I can't remember the last time).  We went to dinner and then used some free movie tickets we got for Christmas from our financial planners to go to a 3D movie.  Neither of us had ever been to a full length 3D movie before...it was fun!  Here is a bad, blurry photo of us in our 3D glasses in the dark theater...

Then on Sunday, we had Michelle, Brian, Nanny and Grandpa over to make the final batch of Christmas cookies (now that I figured out how to replicate our previous recipe).  The cookies were delicious (as always) and we had fun together making and decorating them.

Sarah loves Christmas cookies too!
 Fun with Uncle Brian

That's all for now...Christmas photos coming soon!
