Big Brother Bedroom

We got Austin moved to his big brother bedroom this week. He did great with the move! He actually was excited for it and "helped" us carry his bed downstairs. We got him a new dresser and bookcase so the ones that go with the nursery furniture can stay in the nursery for Baby Girl. He LOVES the bean bag chair Nanny and Grandpa got him for Christmas, so luckily he accepted that as replacement for the glider chair he was so attached to before. Here he is conducting story time in his new room (in his jammies and his story time hat, of course).

We still continue to have trouble getting him to stay in bed and go to sleep at bedtime, but that didn't change with the room change. He wears an overnight pull up to bed a night and despite going on the potty right before bed, he still complains that he peed in his pull up to get us to change him and have an excuse to be awake and playing in his room. Tricky little guy! He's got quite a few stall tactics up his sleeve, none of which we seem to be able to get around. And now that he's downstairs, the trek to his room to put him back in bed, turn his light back off, etc. just got longer. It should be interesting to see how things change when Baby Sister comes home soon too.

Otherwise at the Cronk house...
We've been working hard around the house to get things checked off the to-do list and have also been enjoying being home together as a family. I go back to work again on Monday night, so we luckily will have been able to enjoy a full 10 days together. We've been having lots of fun playing with all of Austin's new cars and other toys.

Here are a few photos from the past couple days...

Austin declared one night that he wanted to dance, so we put on some of his favorite Veggie Tales karaoke songs and he danced up a storm.

Here is a video of Austin and Daddy playing together with his cars and his puppy puppets from Grandma and PopPop. They were playing with Flo's V8 Cafe from the Cars movie and getting the cars some gas. Austin loves having the puppy play cars with him, handing puppy one car after another to have puppy hug them and push them around the play mat with his nose. Austin asked the puppy if he would like some gas and Daddy made a big production of the puppy trying some gas and spitting it out because "puppies don't like gas" and Austin found it absolutely hilarious.

I just noticed that you are basically full-term! Maybe not to you, but it seems like your pregnancy just flew! So glad everything has been going well. Maybe we'll have to get the kiddos together when you are on maternity leave!
