Birthday Celebrations!

Over the weekend, we headed up to Nanny and Grandpa's house to celebrate family birthdays! It was Brian's birthday on 3/17, Nanny's birthday on 3/21, and Grandma Dot's birthday next week.

We all got together to spend some time together and spoil Nanny by having us kids cook her a big dinner. I made Spinach, Sausage, and Ricotta Stuffed Pasta Shells for the main dish. It took FOREVER to make, but it sure was tasty!
Kevin and Keng made caprese and brought yummy bread.
And Michelle and Brian made a salad and brought birthday cake! What a feast!
Austin was very excited Grandma Dot was there. He begged for Nanny and Grandma Dot to sing "The Wheels on the Bus" with him over and over and circle their arms "round and round" while holding hands and singing the song.
Yummy dinner mommy!
Then, of course, Austin wanted to serve cake from his play kitchen...
"Happy Birthday to you!" he kept exclaiming,

Of course, there was play time too! Austin had lots of fun playing with trucks, blocks, and books, as usual.
He gave Nanny a workout while taking a ride on the elliptical. And he thought it was hilarious to crawl under the blanket tent to hide and play peek-a-boo.
Hamming it up for the camera. He's got the Cronk squint...Steve and his dad are known to squint one eye more than the other when smiling for the camera too!
We also headed out for a walk and a trip to the park. Yay for spring weather! Finally!

After dinner and birthday presents, it was time for a bath and jammies. Then we said our goodbyes and hopped into the car to head home. It was back to our normal routines today.

Life continues to be crazy busy, but wonderful! I still have a hard time leaving for work when my cutie little man is home and playing. I especially hate it when he is awake when I leave and stands at the window waving and blowing me kisses! It made my day today when I pulled in the driveway coming home from work and saw him running over to the window excited to welcome me home and grinning from ear to ear with those adorable dimples of his.

Austin has been quite the character lately. He is talking up a storm and I can't believe all the new words, sentences, and questions he comes up with every day. He is so imaginitive in his play and it is very cute to watch him make his toys interact and talk to each other. He loves to read and sing and dance and run and smile and laugh and makes my world go round every day!

I hope you all are thriving this spring! We are certainly busy, but looking forward to more spring weather and time outside playing!
