I got off early on Friday and had the day off on Saturday, so we went up to the Twin Cities for Alexis' 3rd birthday party and got to see some family from Illinois too! First, we went to Aunt Jeannie and Uncle Tim's house for dinner and got to see Aunt Linda, Uncle Hal, Meredith, Brendan, and Michael! It was Jeannie's and Hal's birthdays (the double birthdays tend to run in our family). Then we stayed over at Nanny and Grandpa's house for the night. On Saturday, we headed to Jenna and Michael's for a birthday party for Alexis. She turned 3 on June 24th! Here are some pictures of our fun weekend!
Here is Austin hanging out in his little white rocking chair at Nanny and Grandpa's.
As always, Grandpa loves giving Austin his bath. Here he is getting ready for the party.
Austin with great-Nanny and great grandma Dorothy.
Uncle Kevin gave Austin some chocolate frosting off the top of the brownies...Austin wasn't too sure about it.
Alexis and Grandma Dorothy playing with the dollhouse.
Austin can walk around pretty well now as long as someone holds his hands. Here he is with Auntie Keng.
Playing on the tricycle with Christopher.
Steve being silly...it made Alexis laugh and laugh!
We told Alexis that she couldn't go out and play in the yard during the party because it was raining and all wet outside. So she said, "I'll go get towels," and she proceeded to retrieve towels and go out to try and dry off the deck. Then she came back in and said, "Too wet."
Here is Austin with Meredith. Sooo cute!
Here are Uncle Hal, Aunt Linda, Michael, Aunt Jeannie, Christopher, Becca, and Steve.
I picked up Alexis and was suprised to find that she feels lighter than Austin. He's actually only 3 or 4 pounds lighter than she is! He had a running start though, since he was almost 9lbs at birth and she was 2.5 lbs.

Nanny with 4 of her 5 babies!

Nanny, Grandma Dorothy, mom and dad, Kevin and Keng, Steve, Austin and I.

Here are some other pictures from the past week at home:
Austin found his daddy's calculator and thought it was a wonderful new toy because it had lots of buttons, was small enough that he could chew on it, and mommy and daddy didn't take it away like the computer or the TV remote.
Uh oh, Daddy! Here comes the IRS! I must have chewed on the numbers wrong.
People are starting to tell me he looks like me, but I think he still looks a whole lot like his daddy.
We managed to catch a picture of Austin standing. He's getting pretty good at it now and will pull himself up on practically anything and then let go and stand for a while before plopping down on his butt or his hands.
Austin loves chewing on the top of water bottles, so when he gets his hands on one, he carries it around with him. Here he is enjoying his rocking chair and nanny's water bottle.
